The University of Maryland Eastern Shore has several chapters of Greek Letter Organizations (NPHC), along with Non-Greek Social Fellowships (CIO). The active organizations on campus are committed to serving their community and uplifting the students of their HBCU.

In order to to be eligible for intake and initiation of any NPHC or Independent organization, every student of UMES must:
-Have Earned a Minimum of 28 Credits or More
-Earn a Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.75
-Be a Full-Time Registered Student (12 credits or more for the semester)
-Must Have Attended UMES For Two (2) Consecutive Semesters
-Exemplify Good Citizenship

The School of Pharmacy and Health Professions consists of five academic departments: Kinesiology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant and Rehabilitation Services. Undergraduate programs include Exercise Science and Rehabilitation Services. Graduate programs include the master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies and Rehabilitation Counseling, the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), and the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) as well Pharmaceutical Science (Ph.D.). Student Apartments are reserved for upper-class residents. These three-story walk-ups look like apartments on the outside that are quint-style suites with five rooms. As you enter, you will see a small, shared common area in each unit with five rooms ahead. Look out back, and you’ll see a large outdoor pavilion area for student events. The Student Apartments community features a community center that includes a common area kitchen and lounge for residents to use, as well as on-site free laundry facilities.

With rich Nubian, Nilotic, and Arabized Nubian culture, this group aspires to connect to the roots of both Sudan and South Sudan on many levels. The Sudanese identity is a unique intersection of religion, race, and language that blurs boundaries and is often complex for members of the diaspora and those within the country to define. We aspire to network with prominent Sudanese figures and promote global advocacy for issues affecting South Sudan, Sudan, and the Sudanese people.
