The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is a student-led programming board that coordinates campus-wide events. These events include concerts, the homecoming dance, trivia nights, leadership sessions and off campus trips. The mission of CAB is to create diverse events, programs, and activities that foster personal development, school spirit, and community development.

CEO’s Mission is to inform, support and inspire college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation. With a diverse entrepreneurial community and global network, CEO provides student entrepreneurs with opportunities, events, chapter activities and conferences to help start businesses. The highlight of the year is the annual Global Conference hosted each fall.

Recognizing the need for an organization which seeks to unite students, provide both personal and professional development as well as leadership and networking opportunities, address the issues pertaining to the academic experience, provide a forum in which one can exchange ideas, and identify, research, and resolve issues of concern in and related to our academic discipline, we, the students in the Department of Human Ecology at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) shall bring all Human Ecology students together in efforts to improve collegiate experience among all students, regardless of socio-economic, racial, cultural, religious and political affiliations, thereby encouraging the development of a more active, informed productive and progressive student community.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is comprised of elected student officers and advised by the Office of Student Engagement. This is the official student governing body of the campus. It promotes the interests and welfare of the University community and encourages student participation in the solution of student life problems and issues. The SGA cooperates with faculty in the regulation and promotion of student activity.

The Sudanese Student Union (SSU) is for those who wish to experience, learn about, or relate to the Sudanese experience. With rich Nubian, Nilotic, and Arabized Nubian culture, this group aspires to connect to the roots of both Sudan and South Sudan on many levels. The Sudanese identity is a unique intersection of religion, race, and language that blurs boundaries and is often complex for members of the diaspora and those within the country to define. We aspire to network with prominent Sudanese figures and promote global advocacy for issues affecting South Sudan, Sudan, and the Sudanese people.

The trivia and quiz bowl competition is open to all full-time undergraduate students.
